Free Eye Medical Camp

On 28 March 2026, Gilgal Mission India successfully organized a Free Eye Medical Camp at the Gilgal International School campus as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting health and well-being among underprivileged communities.

The camp was conducted in collaboration with the qualified medical team from Bejan Singh Eye Hospital, Nagercoil, along with Dr. L. Amin (MBBS), Merlin Clinic, Choozhal, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu.

Comprehensive eye examinations were provided for students, parents, staff members, widows, senior citizens, and economically disadvantaged people from the surrounding community. Participants received vision screenings, eye health consultations, and practical guidance on maintaining healthy eyesight. Individuals requiring further evaluation or treatment were referred to specialized eye care services for continued medical support.

As part of this healthcare initiative, 15 economically disadvantaged patients were assisted in receiving free cataract surgeries, helping to restore their vision and improve their quality of life. Free medicines were also distributed to eligible patients based on medical advice.

The Free Eye Medical Camp aimed to raise awareness about the importance of regular eye check-ups and the early detection of vision-related problems. The programme received an encouraging response from the community and reflected Gilgal Mission India's commitment to serving society through compassion, education, and quality healthcare initiatives.

In addition to eye care services, Gilgal Mission India regularly organizes free medical camps in collaboration with qualified doctors, nurses, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.
